A New Begining Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
A New Begining - Research Paper Example A gathering of 10 is a decent estimated gathering and will have the option to be overseen inside a short measure of time. We will have the underlying screening through specialists, however we will likewise give a short poll to any individual who is keen on the gathering. The survey will get some information about their demeanor towards weight reduction, what they have attempted previously, how regularly they have attempted to get in shape, and what results they had before. The poll will likewise pose screening inquiries that will relate to whether an individual has issues with dietary issues. With the goal for somebody to be fruitful in weight reduction, they should make an assortment of changes with their dietary patterns as well as with their psychological thoughts regarding food. So as to get more fit, they may need to experience a total change in their way of life. This is one of the motivation behind why it will be imperative to characterize those individuals who really have an outlook that will advance their pushing ahead. Every individual in the gathering will likewise need to experience one individual treatment meeting with one of the gathering individuals. This will make a mental profile for every individual so we comprehend what we are managing when individuals come into the gathering. As indicated by Berg, Landreth and Fall (2006) we should screen members with the goal that the individuals from the gathering have comparative objectives and requirements for weight reduction, and they would be individuals who might not postpone the gathering. When pondering this models, we would need to ensure that the individuals from the gathering were intellectually sound (they don't have mental scatters that would postpone the gathering), and who were at a comparative degree of expecting to free weight. As such, we might want to have individuals in the gathering who are not kidding about weight reduction and who will do what is required. A portion of this would be done in the prescreening which would incorporate a meeting with every person who was keen on the gathering, the survey, and a discussion with their primary care physician (with a composed authorization from the individual needing to join the gathering). Since Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) should be brief treatment, we will restrict the gathering to 12 meetings of 45 minutes each and we will meet at the treatment community. Reason for CBT has been utilized to help numerous individuals in halting smoking, getting some distance from liquor and medications, just as halting numerous disposition issue. Utilizing CBT for weight reduction is generally new, as indicated by St. Clair (n.d.). Getting more fit includes a physical change, however people should likewise change their reasoning. CBT can assist them with settling on new choices about the manner in which they look, about weight reduction all in all and they figure out how to think flimsy (St. Clair, n.d.). Arhart-Treichel (2007) p rovides details regarding an examination done by the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in which ten ladies were a piece of a weight reduction gathering. The consequences of the examination demonstrated that the ladies lost a pound a month to a pound a week and had the option to keep it off. A Swedish randomized clinical preliminary done in 2005 considered 62 stout individuals who lost a normal of 17 pounds after the 10 weeks program and another five pounds by the subsequent date year and a half later (Arhart-Treichel, 2007). Unmistakably, CBT is gradually indicating a viable way

Differing Scholarly Views on the Euthanasia Situation Free Essays
Contrasting Scholarly Views on the Euthanasia Situation People in Canada are determined to have terminal illnessââ¬â¢ consistently. They know when they are going to kick the bucket and regularly endure up to that point. Why canââ¬â¢t patients determined to have a terminal disease be given the choice to be euthanized? It would permit such patients to pass on easily and calmly as opposed to anguish. We will compose a custom exposition test on Contrasting Scholarly Views on the Euthanasia Situation or then again any comparative theme just for you Request Now While right now illicit in everything except five territories of the world, helped self destruction and willful extermination are rapidly turning into a progressively predominant subject universally with an ever increasing number of nations taking a gander at making the transition to sanction the demonstrations. It has been sanctioned broadly in nations, for example, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium while likewise being legitimized in the conditions of Oregon and Washington in the United States of America. The article from the New England Journal of Medicine, Redefining Physicians' Role in Assisted Dying by Lisa Lehmann, utilizes the province of Oregon as a reason for quite a bit of her examination and testing into the two sides of the contention behind killing. Margaret Somerville, a world eminence ethicist and scholastic known for a portion of her questionable perspectives, additionally gives her own understanding into the theme in the article Legalized Euthanasia Only a Breath Away, distributed by the Globe and Mail. Somerville bases quite a bit of her contention around closely-held convictions and solid convictions. I will look at the benefits and recommendations delivered by each creator and contrast them with one another. The differentiation between these two papers is very apparent in methods of structure and conveyance of data. In Somerville's article, she builds up at an opportune time that, ethically, helped demise is a conspicuous negligence for the sacredness and regard for human life. She even ventures to call it ââ¬Å"unconstitutionalâ⬠. While portraying the individuals who remain on either side of this contention of legitimizing willful extermination, she says, ââ¬Å"â⬠¦it boils down to an immediate clash between the estimation of regard for human life, from one perspective, and individual rights to self-governance and self-assurance â⬠the estimation of 'decision'- on the other. She builds up the two positions one needs to browse in the contention over this point and pretty much rules out change on either side. This whole contention being founded exclusively on her feeling and giving no realities to back both of the positions makes it one-sided for keeping willful extermination illicit. In Somervilleââ¬â¢s article, she shows the accessibility of the procedure in Oregon and how it is exceptionally useful to the individuals who search it out. Somerville accepts that nobody ought to have command about whether another human lives or passes on. That is the reason she accepts willful extermination should be an accessible choice to terminal patients. One of the driving focuses that Somerville conveys is that, ââ¬Å"research shows that the most probable reasons individuals need helped self destruction/killing are dread of being relinquished â⬠biting the dust alone and disliked. â⬠Without any source refered to for the examination, it brings the legitimacy of the contention into question. It appears to be to a greater extent a prominent attitude contorted into a reality to help a contention, particularly in the wake of contrasting Lehmannââ¬â¢s article is perused. She cites from the thirteenth yearly report from Oregon's Death with Dignity Act that, ââ¬Å"Most (patients) state that they are propelled by lost self-governance and a powerlessness to take part in exercises that give their meaningâ⬠as the essential explanation behind thinking about killing in Oregon. It additionally refers to absence of capacity to control torment being one of the least regular explanations behind euthanizing also, due concerning the a far cry present day medication has made in palliative consideration as opposed to the 60ââ¬â¢s. Having a component of authority over the time one kicks the bucket and how it happens is something that is reasonable for some terminal patients to want. Knowing when they should bite the dust makes it difficult for terminal patients to completely appreciate any beneficial encounters since they continually help themselves to remember how brief period they have until their demise. This announcement carries uncertainty to the ââ¬Å"researchâ⬠that Somerville uses to sustain her position against helped demise, particularly with an absence of a trustworthy source into said inquire about. Inside Lehmanââ¬â¢s article, she expresses some primary issues with willful extermination generally utilized by pundits. One is that having a choice to end oneââ¬â¢s life will lessen the nature of palliative consideration. In any case, that isn't the situation in Oregon. Lehmanââ¬â¢s examine has demonstrated that general spending and patient appraisals on palliative consideration have reliably ascended in the multi year time span that killing has been lawful. Another well known protest is that professionals of killing are taking a shot at a ââ¬Å"slippery slopeâ⬠and that the procedure for choosing killing applicants will some time or another be extended to acknowledge patients with nonterminal ailments or even non-intentional killing. In any case, inside Oregon, Lehman depicts how a patient must go a long procedure before really being euthanized. A board of clinical experts considers various variables of the patient, for example, finding, torment resilience, wretchedness, perspective, and numerous others. This procedure takes in any event 2 a month. Subsequent to mulling over all the elements, the patient will be given the panelââ¬â¢s choice on whether they are a possibility for killing. Severe junctures, for example, the audit board that are set up inside Oregon will forestall any change to killing laws. The rules are very ââ¬Å"black and whiteâ⬠so there are no misinterpretations and the laws are unchangeable. Lehmanââ¬â¢s assessments are very much idea out and all around upheld by the examination into the procedure in Oregon, one of only a handful scarcely any spots on Earth with a lawful killing practice. Investigation into the choice procedure legitimately negates numerous mainstream complaint made by pundits against sanctioning of willful extermination. Sentiments are extremely integral assets that can incredibly impact the result and perspectives on others in open and dubious themes. Conclusions ought to be based around truthful data and strong research, not close to home convictions and thought processes. This is the unmistakable case among Somervilleââ¬â¢s and Lehmannââ¬â¢s articles. Both being exceptionally qualified and educated in various territories of study, Lehman just uses her examination and time assets completely and receives the benefits of having a solid assessment put together around truthful data based with respect to the establishments of research. Lehmanââ¬â¢s feeling will convey substantially more weight that Somervilleââ¬â¢s which is based off dubious cases and research without any references. With regards to questionable points, for example, willful extermination, it is essential to gather however much data as could be expected before settling on an educated choice on whether to have it as an alternative to terminal patients or not. The choice had will effect peopleââ¬â¢s lives somehow. Itââ¬â¢s simply an issue of which choice will have a more prominent advantage for the human populace. Rei Sustainability Case Free Essays
To: Council of Executive Vice Presidents Date: 1th of November, 2012 From: Anders F? dder Subject: Evaluation of REIââ¬â¢s maintainability objectives I am writing because of your request with respect to the believability of keeping up the consistent development of the organization just as fulfilling its manageability objectives. The accompanying areas will address the three issues, referenced by top administration, by first portraying them, at that point deciphering them and in conclusion they will be assessed. End and proposals will be founded on this. We will compose a custom exposition test on Rei Sustainability Case or then again any comparative subject just for you Request Now REI center significantly around the effect that their business has on the earth. They consistently chip away at finding new and inventive arrangement that will help decrease these negative impacts. Their corporate strategic this responsibility: ââ¬Å"At REI, we move, instruct and outfit for a lifetime of outside experience and stewardshipâ⬠REIââ¬â¢s stewardship needs: * Encourage the dynamic protection of nature Inspire the dependable use and happiness regarding the outside * Enhance the regular world and our networks through mindful strategic approaches * Foster chances to expand cooperation in human-fueled open air diversion * Maintain REI as a business of decision, where workers are profoundly occupied with the vision of the organization and are illustrative of our networks The CEO, Kevin Hagen, likewise expressed that these money related and ecological objectives and desire must be met without giving up either. Hagen supported moving to a structure of ââ¬Å"no tradeoff sâ⬠subsequently making a change in perspective; Innovation over trade off. Issue 1 First issue is whether the companyââ¬â¢s expressed manageability objectives and yearnings are reliable with its corporate strategic its expressed stewardship goals that are recorded previously. REI maintainability objectives center around three territories; vitality utilization, ozone depleting substance outflow (carbon impression) and decrease of squanderer to landfills. The organization intends to include water, toxics, land use and social effect on this rundown in not so distant future. Every one of these territories has a goal for 2020, an objective for 2015 and a financial plan for the present year. Vitality utilization REI has taken various activities to build their vitality effectiveness by changing to new inexhaustible force sources at every possible opportunity. They strategic to keep their vitality utilization at a fixed level in spite of opening new stores. One the manners in which they do this is by putting resources into self-age alternatives, for example, sunlight based innovation. Their methods of dealing with their vitality use and expanding proficiency include: * Solar innovation in huge numbers of our stores * Lighting: * Elimination of every glowing bulb from our retail locations * Installation of profoundly vitality proficient bulbs and apparatuses * Greater dependence on bay windows and normal lighting Heating cooling (HVAC): * Aggressive retrofitting and supplanting of obsolete HVAC hardware with refined new models * Centralized checking * Energy-sparing procedures, for example, on-request ventilation and wind current * Measurement of our storesââ¬â¢ vitality productivity against comparative structures across the country with the ENERGY STAR benchmarking device Greenhouse gas emanation (GHG) The yearning for 2020 concerning GHG was to be atmosphere unbiased. Their objective for 2015 was to cut GHG by 50 percent contrasted with 2010 emanations. The spending plan for every year was a particular objective in huge amounts of CO2 that was characterized by the 2015 objective. REI took a gander at numerous parts of their business so as to arrive at this objective. These were not restricted by their own particular activity inside REI. They look past themselves and attempt to change the manner in which their representatives and providers act to. The rundown include: representative driving and travel, travel by clients taking an interest in REI Adventures programs from their homes to the site of program, transportation of items from merchants to the organization and shipments to clients. In any case, they have excluded client transportation to and from the stores. REI gives significant motivating forces to their workers to lessen the natural effects of driving and corporate travel. These include: * A 50 percent travel appropriation * Showers and secure bicycle stockpiling at each REI office * Telecommuting alternatives at our base camp area * Web conferencing and other innovation apparatuses In 2011, REI banded together with The Nature Conservancy to execute an afforestation venture on the Bayou Bartholomew property in Louisiana, which will reestablish backwoods coherence with the neighboring Chemin-a-Haut State Park. Subsidizing gave deliberately by REI Adventures will fund the future retirement of carbon counterbalances from this undertaking. Through this exertion, REI upheld The Nature Conservancyââ¬â¢s reclamation of this woods environment, just as the structure of a carbon venture. This carbon venture has been approved and enrolled through a sound outsider confirmation framework (the Verified Carbon Standard). The exertion will add to long haul foundational change, profiting the environment and the timberland biological system, and has been intended to deliver unquestionable carbon counterbalances later on. In spite of the fact that REI would look for new and imaginative answers for all perspectives inside the organization, there is in any event one were they could just balance instead of diminish. REIââ¬â¢s biggest wellspring of GHG discharges was REI Adventures which produced 31 percent of its aggregate, to be specific flying individuals to experience goals. This special case was managed by buying carbon counterbalances as a piece of the movement bundle, paid by REI. Decrease of waste to landfills REI yearning for 2020 was to have no loss to landfills and slice waste to landfills considerably somewhere in the range of 2010 and 2015. So as to accomplish this, they endeavor to make their bundling transporting activities as proficient as could be expected under the circumstances. They work with merchants, delivering organizations and industry partners to pioneer new ways to deal with this unpredictable circumstance. One case of this is the means by which they reevaluated the manner in which bikes were bundled and delivered. The bicycles, dispatched in cardboard boxes from china, was bundled in parts and amassed at one area in the US from where they were sent to the stores. The broad pressing, taped and stapled together, held the parts and collected bicycles safely however was hard to amass and dismantle. REI updated this procedure in way that permitted them to reuse the container again and again. Basically, similar containers that was utilized from the producer in China, was utilized all through the gracefully chain and came back to China, to by and by be use. In this way reusing all the materials as opposed to sending it to landfills. This diminished the cardboard utilization by in excess of 60 percent. Moreover they spared more than $1 million in yearly work hours because of decreased time required to pack and unload bicycles. Recap REI saw an ascent in its net carbon sway during 2010. Be that as it may, the expansion was littler than by and large organization development during the year, as estimated by deals. Generally speaking, the organization utilized 2. 4% less vitality in its offices, in spite of including four new stores and migrating two retail stores to bigger spaces. Other maintainability endeavors incorporate buying 58. 4% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)- confirmed paper fiber, and reusing 74% of complete operational waste, including over 95% at REIââ¬â¢s two dissemination habitats. Network endeavors included 109,785 volunteer hours submitted through 541 REI-facilitated protection undertakings to plant trees, reestablish trails, and clean stops and streams. The organization additionally supported $3. 7 million in awards furnished to 330 philanthropic accomplices with an emphasis on preservation and outside entertainment. In any case, REI is moving sustainable power source testaments produced by their sunlight based boards. Since they don't guarantee credit for lessening carbon while doing as such, this is making an issue as far as arriving at carbon zero. A test they should survive on the off chance that they plan to arrive at their desires. REI could additionally lessen their GHG by reconsidering the utilization of New Zealand as a goal. Numerous areas on North American (e. g. The Frozen North, Canada, and the Rocky Mountains) mainland have comparative area to offer, and seeing that New Zealand is half away around the globe, this could be a viable replacement. Show three shows the advancement of arriving at the 2015 objectives. Is shows the real status of every one of the three territories in e. g. the principal quarter of 2011, the arrangement for 2011, the direction for 2015 and the objective for 2015. Despite the fact that the directions for 2015 for every one of the three are over the objective, one can see from the genuine status for 2011, that they are for the most part genuinely close if not under the arrangement for that year. So regardless of the unhappiness direction for 2015 REI is undoubtedly on the correct way. Issue 2 The subsequent issue was distinguishing the potential dangers with REI receiving the ââ¬Å"No Trade-offsâ⬠approach verbalized by the corporate social obligation gathering, seen from an administrative execution estimation viewpoint. The ââ¬Å"No exchange offsâ⬠approach presents a few dangers. It can demonstrate be costly, in the arrangements required to satisfy as well as the hours it take to contact them. As the CEO aims advancement over involve, the representatives will consistently need to search for better approaches for performing assignments. This requires some investment and time is cash. This is likewise an extremely high contrast approach leaving none or next to no squirm room. The representatives need to remain inside the parameters and at times they may be searching for arrangements that are essentially not there. Once more, this is tedious and will without a doubt make REI pass up extra income lost by glancing in other fixed areas. REI has set the bar high and this may likewise negatively affect the individuals attempting to discover the arrangements. On the off chance that the objectives appear to be excessively unthinkable, it may demotivate as opposed to rouse along these lines bringing down the resolve among the workforce. Nonetheless, by setting a more reasona

Should Marijuana Be Legalized - 1514 Words
Recreational marijuana use is an issue that affects so many lives of people over the years. Whether the user is young or old, it can still harm their health both physically and mentally, and despite the fact that people say it can help reduce or put an end to the drug war violence and thus lower down crime rates in countries like Mexico (Berlatsky, 2), meaning it would decrease the amount of violence and problems from occurring, itââ¬â¢s not enough to outweigh the risks of recreational marijuana on people. Basically, since marijuana has several harmful health effects like impairing your memory, respiratory problems and even cancer, behavior change, and so much more (Thompson, 1), the government should NOT legalize recreational marijuana.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Furthermore, student users of marijuana tend not to be able to focus properly and are not aware of their surroundings, and consequently affect their education (Thompson, 4). Thus they will most likely not have a brigh t future at all unless they get their act together. In addition, they are most likely to not get good grades and pass their classes, and thus not graduate and drop out of school (Thompson, 4). So basically this is trying to say that not only your health is affected from recreational marijuana, but also your education and school life. Besides this, since marijuana makes a person high, like mentioned earlier, it can cause accidents, esp. if theyââ¬â¢re driving a car. ARTICLE MAKE A TITLE Qasid Chaudhry Human Biology Department, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON M5S 3J6 Microfluidic chips allow for the manipulation, at small quantities of neuronal cells. Further, these chips allow for precise temporal and spatial control. This model is one that can be useful in the framework of neurodegeneration. Deleglise et al (2013) fabricated a 3 chamber microfluidic chip. The chambers held one of: coritical neuron soma and dendrites, cortical axons, or striatal neurons. The chip was designed to replicate an oriented neuronal connection from the coritcal to the striatal cells. Through the use of a chemically induced axotomy, by adding fluid to the central chamber (housing the cortical axon), showed that their chip could be used to simulate a lesion in the neuronal network. An emphasis was placed on the protection of synapses, and event that in axotomy studies, traumatic injury and in many neurodegenerative disorders precedes the loss of neuronal cell soma and axons. They then showed that zVAD-fmk, a caspase inhibitor and resveratrol did not show synaptic protect ion, while NAD+ and Y27632, a Rho Kinase inhibitor showed significant synaptic protection, despite the mechanism not being clear. Pointing at potential therapeutic targets for neurodegeneration. This can also be further looked at from the functionality of the chip - it is a useful tool in the evaluation of drugs in the axotomy model they presented. There are many ways that Iago Manipulates Othello with ethos, or image, a very important persuasive method. Iago says, Or to be naked with her friend in bed (4. 1. 3). Iago is trying to fill Othelloââ¬â¢s mind with images of Desdemona naked with Cassio. This makes Othelloââ¬â¢s jealousy grow. Iago says, Men should be what hey seem; or those that be not would they might seen none! (3. 3. 126-127). He is saying that if a man is not true, he is not a man at all. Iago persuades Othello to believe his wife is cheating with Cassio by making him picture it. Another method that Iago uses to persuade Othello with is pathos, or passion. Iago uses this method to his advantage. Iago says to Othello, I am sure it was your wifes did I today see Cassio wipe his beard with (3. 3. 435). Iago claims that he witnessed Cassio using Desdemonas handkerchief to wipe his beard. He is lying to Othello to make him think that Desdemona gave away the handkerchief, to Cassio. Othello says, Within these three days let me hear that Cassios not alive (3. 3. 469). Othello falls into Iagos trap and now wants his friend Cassio dead. Othello should not put all of his trust in Iago, but should talk with Desdemona and Cassio first before taking such harsh actions. Iago is making Othello have a strong feeling of hate for both Cassio, and Desdemona. Iago also uses the method of persuasion, logos, or logic. This method is commonly used today, and by Iago, and works very affectively. Iago says to Othello, [Desdemona] did deceive her father, marrying you; and when she seemed to shake and fear your looks, she loved them most (3. . 206-208). Iago manipulates Othello by telling of a logical reason for his wifes infidelity. He is trying to say that if Desdemona betrayed him once before, she can easily betray him again. Iago says, In sleep I heard [Cassio] say, Sweet Desdemona, let us be wary, let us hide our loves! (3. 3. 416-417). Iago is claiming that Cassio admitted his love for Desdemona in his sleep. This is another piece of evidence that Desdemona an d Cassio have a secret relationship together. Although this was false, it seemed logical, because people often say things in their sleep, sometimes things that are not wanted to be heard by others, or secrets. This story ends tragically, because of Iagos use of pathos, ethos, and logos, the three methods of persuasion. He manipulates Othello exactly how he planned, to the point where Othello murders his wife, Desdemona, and shortly after he realizes his mistake, takes his own life. This proves that jealousy can and will take over ones life, thus becoming a green-eyed monster.

Problem with body weight
Many people are concerned with maintaining their health, as well as that of their loved ones. However, the main issue is whether body weight is the only cause of poor health. There is a false perception among members of society that overweight is a sign of unhealthy condition while underweight is a confirmation that an individual has a good health.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Problem with body weight specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Convincing members of society to believe that unhealthy conditions are caused by various factors is an issue of concern. In this article, unhealthy behaviour would be evaluated in detail by discussing some of the factors that contribute to poor health. Body weight should never be used to measure the health of an individual because even slim individuals would be suffering from certain ailments. Therefore, healthy is an issue of concern while overweight is a major problem that would cause poor health (Costa, 2006). The major problem, which is related to overweight, would be resolved through the application of body mass index (BMI) while the issue related to health would be resolved through evaluating the risk factors for diseases, as well as some conditions that are often related to obesity. Body mass index is an instrument that is utilized in measuring an individualââ¬â¢s weight and obesity. Body mass index calculates an individualââ¬â¢s health by computing his or her height and weight. In other words, it approximates the body fat, which is a risk that would predispose an individual to various forms of diseases. Body mass index shows the healthiness of an individual meaning that the higher the body mass index, the higher the chances of contracting diseases. Individuals with high body mass indexes tend to suffer from hypertension, diabetes, gallstones and other heart related diseases. Furthermore, research shows that individuals with high body indexes ha ve high chances of suffering from cancer. Even though body mass index is a reliable tool for measuring the weight of an individual, it should not be relied upon so much in reporting the weight of athletes because it might overestimate their weight. On the other hand, it may end up underestimating the weight of old persons. Those with body mass indexes of over thirty are considered obese while those with body mass indexes of below 18.5 are underweight. The measure of waist circumference is another technique that could be utilized effectively to determine whether an individual is healthy or not. In this regard, an individual should not have too much fat around the waist because it would predispose him or her to diabetes. Since health is a great issue in society, individuals should keep off from practices that would predispose them to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and high blood glucose.Advertising Looking for essay on health medicine? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More People who are obese, meaning that their body mass index exceeds thirty, should be encouraged to lose weight for them to be accepted as healthy individuals (Sheila, 2004). An individual with a body mass index of between twenty-five and thirty is considered overweight hence he or she should lose weight. It should be understood that weight is a contributing factor to good health, but overweight does not mean unhealthy conditions. Similarly, underweight does not mean a healthy condition because smoking is another cause of diseases. An individual with less weight might involve him or herself in some unhealthy behaviour, such as smoking, which would expose him or her to diabetes. Therefore, maintaining a normal weight alone is not the only way of preventing diseases. References Costa, R. (2006). Obesity in Children and adolescents. Macbeth William Shakespeare To what extent is macbeth a tragic character
Macbeth William Shakespeare To what extent is macbeth a tragic character In Shakespearẻs ̉̉Macbeth̉ the protagonist undergoes many changes throughout the play. Looking over it we cannot specifically say to what extent of a tragic character Macbeth is, but by segregating it into distinct parts we get a clearer idea of how Macbeth ventures from one polarity to the other. Macbeth is manipulated by others (particularly his wife and the witches), this allows his iniquitously self-centred character hidden within to come alight. Through Shakespearẻs use of soliloquies we can see that his conscience is conflicted and that his actions are centred on the voices of the external forces. As the play progresses the desires of the main character become self-perpetual eventually leading to his demise. Macbeth is a tragic character. His gradual increasing extent caused by growing negative ambition and greed evidently portrays how such qualities can have an effect on onẻs life.At the beginning of the play Macbeth was displayed as a character with high morality that had an urge to do the utmost best for his king.Erskine Sanford as King Duncan with Roddy McDowall...

South Korean Automobile Market - Non-Tariff Barriers Essay
South Korean Automobile Market - Non-Tariff Barriers - Essay Example The thesis examines the updated trade patterns and determinant of complete passenger and road vehicle trade between the U.S and S. Korea. The main explanatory variable is the effect of S. Koreaââ¬â¢s Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) on the automobile industry trade with its one of the biggest trading partner, the U. S. The patterns and performance of automobile industry trade and the effects of NTBs in S. Korean car market will be assessed by the Normalized Trade Balance Index, Grubel and Lloyd index and the regression that is by using multiple regression analysis approaches, more specifically. The results of the thesis will highlight the trend of the road and passenger vehicle industry trade and the impact of NTBs on the volume/ value of trade in automobile sectors between the countries since the beginning of the 2000s. S. Korea and the U.S share a great deal of interest in pursuing positive development in the automobile industryââ¬â¢s trade performance. Both countries substantially rely on the profits of the automobile trade for their economic growth and their market sizes are often large. (Dyer & Chu, 2000). Consequently, S. Korea and the U.S Free Trade Agreement is about to come into effect and one of the biggest issues that prolonged the deal while negotiating for the FTA was regarding the automobile, especially passenger vehicle industry trade. President Obama and the U.S industry representatives claimed that the FTA deal regarding automobile trading regime is not fair if they start to trade bilaterally in the current condition and regulation. Opponents of recent FTA provision even claimed that the U.S automakers exaggerate the potential sales in S. Korea of cars produced in U.S. assembly plants (Schott, 2010).Ã

The helping process - Essay Example Assessment is the basic step in the development of a helping process. It involves a comprehensive evaluation of the situation to identify the problem and give insights of the possible remedy (Poulin, 2010. Moreover, the professionals get the overview of the skills and capability of the people in need of help. Therefore, I can be observed that assessment stage lays the foundation for the helping process development. For instance, the people involved in the assessment exercise should be informed fully about the practice to eliminate ignorance. In addition, the rights of individuals, as provided for in the constitution, must be followed appropriately.PlanningThis phase focuses on putting the necessary structures and strategies in place to facilitate a smooth process of helping those in need. Stereotypes and Prejudices Essay Example for Free
Stereotypes and Prejudices Essay Everyone uses stereotypes in one way or another. (CX) People tend to judge from their first impressions, but prejudices do not get very dangerous until they lead to stereotyping and discrimination. The victims of prejudices and stereotypes may lose their own individual personalities, and they retreat into their own groups. Both Chopin, in ââ¬Å"Dà ©sirà ©eââ¬â¢s Baby,â⬠and Piercy, who writes ââ¬Å"Barbie Doll,â⬠bring up this problem in their writings. Chopin and Piercy write about stereotypes and prejudices because they want people to think about the devastating effects of stereotypes and prejudices. To develop their theme, they write about the victims of prejudice, how they are treated differently, and how they end up in life. (S) Appearances influence many people. One day, when Desirà ©e stands ââ¬Å"against the stone pillar,â⬠Armand ââ¬Å"ride[s] by and see[s] her there,â⬠and he soon falls in love with her (Chopin 346). (CC) Not knowing much about her characteristics, Armand falls in love with Dà ©sirà ©e, and he marries her not long after that, which can be seen by the fast transition in Chopinââ¬â¢s story. Similarly, the ââ¬Å"girl childâ⬠in ââ¬Å"Barbie Dollâ⬠is described by her classmate as having ââ¬Å"a great big nose and fat legsâ⬠(Piercy 352). Piercy writes that although she ââ¬Å"[is] healthy and tests intelligent,â⬠she keeps ââ¬Å"[going] to and fro apologizingâ⬠for her body (352). People care about how she looks more than what she has in her heart. Being victims of prejudices, the characters in Chopinââ¬â¢s and Piercyââ¬â¢s works are treated differently. The way that Dà ©sirà ©e, her baby, and the girl child have to face prejudice is not identical. While talking to her daughter, Madame Valmondà © does not stop looking at the child; in addition, she ââ¬Å"[lifts] it and [walks] with it over the window that [is] lightest,â⬠and she ââ¬Å"[replaces] it beside its motherâ⬠(Chopin 346). No one uses ââ¬Å"itâ⬠to call a baby, and Dà ©sirà ©eââ¬â¢s son is regarded as an animal because he is not white. From being the ââ¬Å"proudest father in the parishâ⬠, Armand turns cruel as he discovers that his child ââ¬Å"is not white; it means that [his wife is] not whiteâ⬠(Chopin 347). (CC) Chopin brings readers back to the age of slavery, which is a shame in humansââ¬â¢ history; the slaves cannot live as humans because they are distinct from the majority of the Whites. (S) Obviously, being different is the end of their life. (CX) On theà other hand, the girl child in ââ¬Å"Barbie Dollâ⬠has a chance to live if she gives up her personality. The author writes that she ââ¬Å"[is] advised to play coy, exhorted to come on hearty, exercise, diet, smile and wheedleâ⬠(Piercy 352). She is given a chance to live the life of a machine, not a human, which is programmed according to the social standards. ââ¬Å"Her good nature [wears] out like a fan. So she [cuts] off her nose and her legs, and [offers] them up,â⬠writes Piercy (352). The fact that she has a choice is ironic. Chopin and Piercy also come to the same ending for their characters. Dà ©sirà ©e and the girl child finish their lives in the same way. Dà ©sirà ©e does not take the ââ¬Å"broad beaten road which [leads] to the far-off plantation of Valmondà ©,â⬠but she walks ââ¬Å"across a deserted fieldâ⬠(Chopin 348). Readers may ask themselves whether Dà ©sirà ©e does not take or is not allowed to take the broad road. She disappears among the ââ¬Å"reeds and willowsâ⬠, and she never comes back (Chopin 348). Likewise, the girl child ends up her life ââ¬Å"in the casket displayed on the satin she [lies] with the undertakerââ¬â¢s cosmetics painted on, a turned-up putty noseâ⬠(Piercy 352). ââ¬Å"Is everyone satisfied?â⬠asks Piercy. (CP) The victims of prejudice are not happy, so they choose the death to cease their misery. It is the time that people have to be aware of stereotypes and prejudices. Both Chopin and Piercy signify that stereotypes and prejudices are destructive. ââ¬Å"Consummation at lastâ⬠is a sarcastic way of Piercy to tell the truth (352). It is the consummation of people who judge others through appearances. (CP) Prejudice is no longer accepted in modern societies; however, it still exists in the nature of humans. Stereotyping prevents people from learning the real facts about themselves, and it allows them to discriminate and commit various crimes against all kinds of people. In pursuit of a better society, everyone should patiently fight against the unfairness of stereotypes and prejudices.

Comparing Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story :: comparison compare contrast essays
Romeo and Juliet versus West Side Story à à à à à à à à à à Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, two timeless dramas that will live forever.à Although both of these stories have many similarities, there are also many differences.à These differences include the differences in sililoquy, the fact that Maria doesn't die, the fact that we never see Tony or Maria's parents, as well as the issues of marriage, the importance of gangs and families to each story.à To understand these differences, I have read and/or watched both Romeo and Juliet, and the similar tragedy, West Side Story. à à à à à à à à à à Above, I named a few of the many differences between William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and Ernest Leaman's screenplay, West Side Story. One main difference is that in Romeo and Juliet the sililoquy is spoken while in West Side Story there is sililoquy, but it is in song.à While both equally express the character's feelings at the moment, it is my feeling that West Side Story's musical style brings the viewer/listener further into the play and makes the play more effective.à An example of this is when, in Act II, Scene II, of Romeo and Juliet, otherwise known as the balcony scene, Romeo expresses his thoughts in a sililoquy until Juliet shows up.à While in Romeo and Juliet all of this is spoken, in West Side Story, this is written as music shared between Maria and Tony. à à à à à à à à à à Another major difference between these two stories is that in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet sees Romeo dead and decides to kill herself. à While, in West Side Story, Tony (the Romeo of the play) does die - shot by Chino- Maria is not so stricken and overshelmed that she decides to kill herself.à This is very important because in Romeo and Juliet, neither Romeo or Juliet is allowed to move on with their lives.à In West Side Story, however, I'm sure Maria, although not shown in the film, moves on and gets over Tony. à à à à à à à à à à My theory on why the above is true, is that Romeo and Juliet are kept apart by family ties or blood; Juliet a Capulet and Romeo a Montague.à Blood ties are what family is all about and tend to be very strong bonds.

Conversation Essay
Date Conversations We use interpersonal communication every day in our live. There are three types of communication model, linear, interactive, and transactional communication. Each type of communication model has their strength and weakness. Linear communication is simple and straightforward but it does not totally describe what you wanted to say because it is a one way communication and short. Interactive communication can captures a variety of communication forms but less active and not much of collaborative in both party to interpret meanings because it neglects the active role in senders and receivers.Transactional communication gives you time to collaborates and to captures what most people thinks, mostly face to face communication, and this model enable both party to constantly exchange nonverbal and verbal messages. Interpersonal communication is an important tool to learns and to builds up your communication skill because they are essential to an interpersonal relationship. It is difficult to build a relationship with someone if interpersonal communication skill is poor. Interpersonal communication helps us recognize concepts and awareness that influences our thoughts, emotion and behaviors in a relationship.I remembered of my first date with Talia, our conversation it was not as smooth or friendly. We were partner up by our instructor, not by our free will, and this created a barrier between at first; especially that we are both old types person that came from different culture, ethnic and have different ethics. They say first impression is very important when you approach someone because interpersonal communication is irreversible, so I was very cautious or self-aware when I interacted with Talia. Mostly we started out the conversation with a question, and then each of us takes turns to response to the question.Half way through the conversation, I noticed that we used fewer questions to start out a new conversation, and we go to straight to the subje cts. Our different ethnicââ¬â¢s background intertwined our ethics which influenced our behaviors during the conversation, but we had good eyes contact and body gestures. Knowing my partnerââ¬â¢s background, and culture made the conversation more interesting and dynamic. We had our third conversation date was failed because we set the time up already but I was unable to pick up the phone at work.During the time Talia gave me a call suddenly the customer came to eat and I was busy at that time. Normally, at the time we set up my uncle restaurant was not busy but I do not why this time so busy. I missed the conversation appointment with Talia. I know this is my false. After I received her massage I tried to give her a call back but she did not pick up the phone either. And then I try text her message but the result I got from her was busy too. I know we all busy because we have many thing to take care. But any way we were failed on third conversation, I know that each person has t o responsibility with the first thing we have to deal with. Interpersonal communication skill is essential to interpersonal relationship. It helps us understand and recognizes concepts to build a better relationship, whether itââ¬â¢s for business, friendship, or romantic relationship. Understand interpersonal communication helps you prevent or dealing with dysfunctional relationship, and builds better social networks around you. I believed this skill also helps build your self-esteem, openness, maintaining relationship and a well-being life.

Implementing A Change Management Plan - 1679 Words
Chapter 4.0: Implementation and change 4.1. Introduction Firstly, this chapter will explore creating a change to the management plan due to the identified change, consider barriers to the change and select a change management model. Then a change management plan will be discussed and outlined in greater detail. Subsequently, it will be explored how theoretical knowledge can support a newly qualified nurse (NQN), following an audit. Furthermore, it will be discuss the role of a leader and leadership theories for an NQN. In addition to this, the personality type and a plan for personal development will be presented (see Appendix 4). Finally, by completing this project there will be a reflection of what has been learnt. 4.2 Creating aâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦NICE (2007) has produced a document which outlines some common barriers for a changing process. These barriers include motivation, awareness, knowledge and skills. A lack of one may cause in a management plan to fail. To facilitate, the lack of the appropriate training can cause lack of skills for staff to embrace a change. Lack of motivation and awareness can cause staff to be unaware of what needs to change and the rationale behind it. Ploeg et al. (2007) introduced similarities in perceptions of these barriers for example poor information exchange on an individual, organisational and system levels respectively. These approaches identified barriers which could occurs any level of the healthcare service. These barriers will be considered in developing a change to the management plan. It is important to choose a suitable change management model is another aspect of a change implementing. A model which has been used for over sixty years in clinical nursing practice is the Lewinââ¬â¢s model (1951) cited in Mitchell (2013) and presented in Figure 3. This model consists of three steps in change before it becomes part of a system, thus change agents must proceed in: unfreezing when considering a need for a change, then the moving - when initiation of a change follows, and refreezing step when equilibrium is established. Additionally, Lewin discussed how certain

A Brief Lok at Belgian Chocolate - 2766 Words
Belgian Chocolates Despite the fact that chocolate is not rated among the major products that are exported by the nation of Belgium, it must be noted that Belgium is second on the log among the worldââ¬â¢s largest exporters of chocolate. The top exporter of chocolate is Germany (Abraham et al, 2012). Furthermore, Belgium is not only ranked among the most significant exporters of chocolate, rather is rated seventh among the nations consuming the highest quantities of chocolate after the UK, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Denmark and Germany. It has also been submitted that chocolate is among the primary products traditionally linked to Belgium. The nation of Belgium is renowned for its chocolate and takes every chance to promote this asset. The nation has a lot to give to the cocoa chain across the world (Elshof, 2012). In addition, Belgians consume large quantities of chocolate. Yet this nation prides itself in the finest chocolate quality given the fact that it is the home to a large number of small chocolate firms, acknowledged across the globe. Most important is the fact that since the last twenty years, different chocolatiers initiated business to manufacture chocolates. A nation could not desire for a better input to its economy than an industry, which proudly employs the term Belgian on its wrappings and outlets for its major products (Elshof, 2012). However, it must be noted that Belgium is not just a marketing tool for packets of chocolates. Barry Callebaut, a Belgian

Essay about A Worn Path - Eudora Welty - 577 Words
Phoenix Jackson in Eudora Weltys A Worn Path has been compared to the mythological phoenix because of her birdlike qualities, and its also been noticed that Phoenix possesses many of the same characteristics as Christ. But, what hasnt been addressed is the fact that Eudora Welty didnt just leave the symbolism to Christ alone. Welty also included many biblical allusions as well. Phoenix Jackson is not only symbolic of the mythological bird that rose from the ashes of its own demise or simply a Christ figure comparable to the Son of God, but she is also a biblical hero facing temptation and trials along her journey and succeeds unharmed and steadfast in her faith. Since Weltys tale is such a simple one, readers are forced to findâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Many connections can be made between the unwavering Phoenix Jackson and the Son of God. Phoenixs cane being described as limber as a buggy whip (3) symbolizes the whip used on Christ during His crucifixion. The chains about her feet (5) symbolizes the burden of the cross and the thorns or thorny bush (8) represents Christs crown of thorns. But evidence can be found relating Phoenixs status as a biblical character as well. The old woman waited, silent, erect, and motionless just as if she were in armor (84) is reminiscent of the armor of God that Christians must adorn to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11) and the parting her way (28) brings the awesome sight of Moses parting the Red Sea to mind. Another example would be Phoenixs comment to the nurse that she and her grandson are the only two people left in the world (93) is suggestive of Adam and Eve being the only two people in the world after Creation. More subtle clues suggest the whispering (21, 28) of fields being the deceptive whispering of temptation that Satan uses to lure us away from Christ. In fact, the black dog tripping Phoenix and Phoenix feeling the dog sitting nearby laughing shows are Satan revels in mocking our fall from grace after he has tempted us into sin just as he tempted Phoenix to steal. When theyââ¬â¢re raising money, for example, you can do the initial intros knowing that if you wanted to you could stop thinking about it at that point. You wonââ¬â¢t have to babysit the round to make sure it happens. That type of founder is going to come back with the money; the only question is how much on what terms. It seemed odd that the outliers at the two ends of the spectrum could be detected by what appeared to be unrelated tests. Youââ¬â¢d expect that if the founders at one end were distinguished by the presence of quality x, at the other end theyââ¬â¢d be distinguished by lack of x. Was there some kind of inverse relation between resourcefulness and being hard to talk to? It turns out there is, and the key to the mystery is the old adage ââ¬Å"a word to the wise is sufficient. â⬠Because this phrase is not only overused, but overused in an indirect way (by prepending the subject to some advice), most people whoââ¬â¢ve heard it donââ¬â¢t know what it means. What it means is that if someone is wise, all you have to do is say one word to them, and theyââ¬â¢ll understand immediately. You donââ¬â¢t have to explain in detail; theyââ¬â¢ll chase down all the implications. In much the same way that all you have to do is give the right sort of founder a one line intro to a VC, and heââ¬â¢ll chase down the money. Thatââ¬â¢s the connection. Understanding all the implicationsââ¬âeven the inconvenient implicationsââ¬âof what someone tells you is a subset of resourcefulness. Itââ¬â¢s conversational resourcefulness. Like real world resourcefulness, conversational resourcefulness often means doing things you donââ¬â¢t want to. Chasing down all the implications of whatââ¬â¢s said to you can sometimes lead to uncomfortable conclusions. The best word to describe the failure to do so is probably ââ¬Å"denial,â⬠though that seems a bit too narrow. A better way to describe the situation would be to say that the unsuccessful founders had the sort of conservatism that comes from weakness. They traversed idea space as gingerly as a very old person traverses the physical world. The unsuccessful founders werenââ¬â¢t stupid. Intellectually they were as capable as the successful founders of following all the implications of what one said to them. They just werenââ¬â¢t eager to. So being hard to talk to was not what was killing the unsuccessful startups. It was a sign of an underlying lack of resourcefulness. Thatââ¬â¢s what was killing them. As well as failing to chase down the implications of what was said to them, the unsuccessful founders would also fail to chase down funding, and users, and sources of new ideas. But the most immediate evidence I had that something was amiss was that I couldnââ¬â¢t talk to them. How to cite A Pattern in The Least Successful Startup, Papers

Overview of International Estate Planning â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about the Overview of International Estate Planning. Answer: Introduction The management of corporate real estate enables to enhance the use of the real estate assets so that it can lead to the attainment of the results within the companies those are a non-real estate. Various researchers have been undertaken in the field of commercial, residential, as well as commercial real estate, the studies on infrastructure asset management is lacking. As per Collins Dictionary infrastructure can be defined as the fixed capital stock in the country that includes school, roads, and factories and viewed as an economic growth determinant. Just like other real estate assets, the enhancement of infrastructure is in the nature of capital intensive. Moreover, infrastructure assets surpass the complexity level that makes it a part of the real assets of traditional nature (Svejenova et. al, 2010). Firstly, the infrastructure production is steep in nature and hence, the concept of increasing the return to scale can be noted. This means that there is a strong tendency towards m onopoly and the regulation is strong in this industry. In the past few years, most of the industrialized world has witnessed immense challenges that are linked to the management of the infrastructure assets. Such challenges contain the infrastructure that is aging in nature, funding that is inadequate and short-term stress on the political scenario, less information on the infrastructure, globalization and the requirement to adhere to various demand of the stakeholders. This has to lead to a problem in terms of performance for the infrastructure that is owned by the government (Brown, 2005). Further, there have been many cases of the revival of the institutional options for the infrastructure provision that contains a merge of competitive restructuring and development of methods of regulatory nature (Kennedy, 2007). When it comes to the changing scenario of the business, it is imperative for the infrastructure organization to enhance the investments that are being made so that the capital can be reduced together with the expenditure of operating nature and enhance the total performance of the organization (Brown, 2005). Literature pertaining to strategic management suggests that to shed light on the performance of the organization it is essential that the focus should also be provided on the factors that are internal to the organization and even the structure of the industry. As per Ravichandran et al. (2005) it is put to the argument that the theory of resource-based and the extensions with the focus on the resources of the firm can lead to the proper theoretical lens to evaluate how factors can be booster in terms of competitive advantage. An organization can be a gainer and attain performance of a top-notch when it contains the correct skills. In tune to this, the challenge remains to the org anization in association with the utilization of the resources in an optimal manner among the initiatives that are competitive in nature so that skills of relevant nature can be attracted (Mckeo, 2008). Therefore, it is the need of the hour to trace core capabilities that will make a difference in terms of infrastructure, as well as the performance of the asset. The main aim of the paper is to shed light on the conceptual framework so that identification of the skills needs to be done when it comes to the management of the infrastructure assets. This paper will shed light on the discussion required to adopt an approach that is strategic in nature so that the performance can be enhanced. The literature we then examined in the light of the prevalent situation. Based on the knowledge, an appropriate resource based view is argued. Lastly, the conceptual framework is identified for strategic infrastructure. Strategy and Performance The influential works of enthusiasts help us to understand the basic concept of the area of strategic management. Mutually they help us to understand the censorious concepts and thesis in strategy, in which the strategy influences performance. They also emphasize on the external opportunities and internal power, the concept follows that strategy is followed by structure, the real difference between the making and implementation of the concept and the effective role of strategic management (Smallwood Panowyk, 2005). The restrained study of strategy development is mostly derived from the design school and planning school which is employed to find the use of internal hoard to compare with the external risk and opportunities. In 1980s the main focus of the strategy analysis was to create a connection between strategy and external environment of a business. The best example to understand the topic is to read competitive strategy by Michael Porter which is considered to be the most persua sive contribution to the area of strategic management. Porter used the information provided by the Industrial-Organizational Economics to construct a framework of general strategies and industrial scanning. The intermodal theory of this policy is that the performance of an organization is the chief function of the industrial environment in which it regulates and as the structure of industry it directs the strategy, which in return governs the performance (Nag et. al, 2007). The strategy can, therefore, be disregarded and thereafter performance can be explained by the industry structure. In contradiction, the connection between the organizations strategy and resources, skill have suffered comparative disregard. During 1990s, there was a wave of recovery in the application of organizations resources because of the development of organizational strategies. This helped to enumerate the resource-based view once again. RBV is a plan that is a crucial pool of recourses and capabilities, an d these resources and capabilities are the main elements of strategy and performance. In the process of strategy formulation, RBV does not take the way of Indian Organizational Economics theory. IOE theorists were in a notion that the organization's performance was related to the industrial structure closely and also that the firm was the provider of all resources between product and market opportunities. As per this theory, the vital aspects of the work are directed towards making a place amidst the competitions in the industry (Jay William, 2018). This is also famously known as the positioning school of strategy development. The other view known as the resource-based view fails to identify with this relationship. Resource-based view is popular for its theory for differentiating between the internal resources and the other determinants of the competition, which majorly comprise of location; other regulatory and technical factors (Mulcaster, 2009). But the specialists of the RBV th eory were of the view that the competencies which were generated internally were of primary importance to the competitive performance of the company. Importance of RBV for Organisation that pertains to InfrastructureIn an aggressive and inconsistent environment, the theorists found that there are very fewer chances that one could actually plan the future because of inconsistent technological changes. The forceful strategies will not be fit for the organization as it will create a tension in the firm. The tension increases when the there are technological advancements made in the industry but the firm still uses the old and rugged resources to work (Mulcaster, 2009). The firm will not have the capability to match with its competitors till it advances its piece of technology. Therefore theorists argued that the basic direction for an organization to work is provided by the internal resources and capability of the firm. Therefore when the external environment of a firm is not in a good state, the firm may use its internal resources to define its name in the market. All types of organization should create value to make their presence kn own in the market. Insistent advantage may help a firm to make a better experience for customers and thus helping the firm to grow. Theorists presented two known schemes of the origination of competitive advantage: the division between positional and kinetic and between homogeneous and heterogeneous (Smith et. al, 2010). Positional advantages are basically ownership or access based and is often non-volatile like a. Managing talent superior, skilled and dedicated employees, superior associated culture; b. Size-based advantages like size capabilities, scale economies, and economy of experience; c. Provide good control and favorable access to the distributor. Presently the advantages include (a) capability of finding the valuable customers and to make and see whether there are market opportunities. (b) Use of such capabilities that helps in improving the flexibility, speed, creativity, and efficiency of the process that is adopted in the organization. (c) The capability that helps to mobilize the employees of the organization encourages the learning process and encouraging changes that would have a positive impact. (d)In an organization there are different departments and personnels having different knowledge and these people have a different level of competencies, the strategic capabilities help to create, integrate and maintain coordination between them (Smith et. al, 2010).In the recent years, it has been observed that there were many challenges and difficulties faced by the infrastructure due to deregulation and privatization. This has also resulted in alteration of the business dynamics and also there existed certain uncertainties. It was suggested that there would be improved, sustainable and superior performance observed due to the kinetic advantage. There always exists a rival for the company in the market which can either compete in the same manner (homogenous) or different manner (heterogeneous). It was seen in the past that the infrastructure organiza tion has always adopted homogenous competition. However, in the times of privatization, it was observed that the company competed heterogeneously, this was because during this time the entire attention was paid to the customers and the organizations were accountable for the results. In the overall discussion, we can say that there lies a great importance of the RBV paradigm in making the infrastructural organization better. The RBV concept comprises of the kinetic advantage as well as the heterogeneous advantage. In addition, we will also see that there will be no constant competitive advantage in the long run because the organization will start imitating the products of others (Zehir et. al, 2006). The RBV has helped in developing the framework of the organization that has resulted in the improvement of their performance. Asset management is the area which always has a scope of betterment. It has been said that while implementing asset management one should always keep the thought of improvement in mind so that the effects of the procedure can be managed steadily. Asset management has been said to have a complex nature, in order to simplify these complexities, we divided the infrastructure businesses into three major components as the asset owner, asset manager and lastly the service provider (Klueger, 2012). This classification enables an entity to have exclusive knowledge in one's department, resulting in perfection due to practice. This helps divide the responsibilities into planning and execution, resulting in the better response. We have discussed the roles and responsibilities of the components below: Firstly, let us discuss the roles and responsibilities of the top management. The main role of the top management is to set the rules, values, strategy, and structure for everyone to follow. They help provide the asset management the asset cost, the maximum level of risk and the level of returns to be earned (Mckeown, 2012). Secondly, there is the asset manager. The main role and responsibility of the asset manager are to concentrate on the strategies and make the relevant decision. The major role is to maximize the values of the asset under their management in order to ensure high returns to the company and the investor. It is under the asset managers control on how and when to spend the monies (Olsen, 2012). Lastly, there is the service provider. The main role of the service provider is in handling the administration work including the management of the clients, so that smooth service can be provided. The primary responsibility to set the strategic corporate goal rests with the asset owner. These major points serve as the map for the asset manager helping him to allocate the asset cost, risks involved, limits on the risks and also the required returns. It is essential that the goals be based as per the company policy so that the best of resources can be allocated to the asset in order to ensure maximum return to the investor. (Moncrieff, 2014) The asset manager plays a very vital role in all this. He holds the most important resource of this transaction, which is the infrastructure asset (Ravichandran Now, it is the duty of the asset manager to make sure that the goals of the asset management and that of the investor sync, in order to generate high returns and long-term relationship both for the investor and the company. Therefore the asset mange needs to make sure that the goals of asset management and the company go hand in hand .Above we have discussed the goals of the infrastr ucture asset management and who is responsible to set such goals. Now in order to achieve these goals we need to formulate strategies which will help the company and the asset manager to achieve these goals. The strategies involved in asset management are nothing more than the process of managing the assets efficiently in order to achieve desired goals (Freedman, 2013). It has been said that the asset management is a process of handling the asset for its life cycle and also that the proper management processes are essential for the same. This thought helps our result that the asset management is all in one business process which consolidates all the functions of the business into one, which helps to follow through the business plans. Hence it is significant to recognize the major processes of the asset management so that the results from the infrastructure asset generated can be maximized. (Demil Lecoq, 2010) The life cycle of the infrastructure asset can be classified into three major heads which are asset planning, asset creation, and asset operation. The core processes of the asset management involve work starting and ending at the customers. They are assisted by other functional activities. There are also other processes which are carried on in the organization which is related to the life cycle of the infrastructure asset. In this context, a few scholars have stated that there are few processes which would fail to provide the competitive advantage to the organization (David et. al, 2012). The internal processes having the most impact on value creation and decision making should be sorted. Core process has also been defined as one of the most important processes which have the direct impact on the quality of success and customer feedback ( Itami Nishino, 2010). We know that the economic and technological market is dynamic. The asset managers are responsible to segregate the processes as per there outcomes under these dynamic circumstances (Doz Kosonen, 2010). The processes which help provide success should be in sync with the business goals of the organization and help create value for the infrastructure organization. It has been proposed by a lot of experts that in order to have a competitive advantage, the organizations should keep improving the core processes. There are a set of many attributes which are required to be developed in order to achieve the asset management goals. It is the responsibilities of the asset managers to identify the challenges and address them in order to carry out the processes smoothly (Too et. al, 2006). In our discussion above, we have discussed the asset management processes. These processes are also associated with the capabilities. These set of capabilities are abstract and indispensable. There is no set of capabilities which are fixed or allocated to a given organization. Also, it has been stated that these capabilities have their individual costs and benefits (Cameron , 2014). The managers are responsible in order to identify most appropriate capability as per the requirements and implement them with the processes in order to achieve maximum benefits . If the managers are able to develop capabilities appropriate to the processes of the asset management, then they will help the asset managers in order achieve the goals and perform better in the future. Conclusion This paper has stressed on the requirement to consider a strategic approach directed towards asset management of the infrastructure provided the ever increment pressure to increase the performance. An approach of resource based view is recommended when the changes are dynamic in nature and happens in the business environment (Kemp, 2008). It is suggested by the resource-based paradigm that to enhance the infrastructure assets performance, it is utmost essential to trace the processes. However, the application of such a process is still pending. Hence, the paper majorly stress on literature that derives from the field of strategic management and leads to the initial step in the application of the concept to the environment that is complex in scenario of the management of infrastructure asset. It needs to be noted that skills are linked within the organization fabric and hence, is difficult for the management to trace. Depending on the argument, a conceptual framework has been dedicate d that spots the issues in a systematic manner that requires clarification before the separation of core skills required for infrastructure asset management. It is expected that there will be a potent tool to trace the skills that are vital and required in the process of strategic management of the infrastructure assets. References Brown, C 2005.
